Truffle Pigs Bistro and the Kicking Horse Lodge are located in the town of Field, British Columbia within Yoho National Park just 20 km west of Lake Louise.
In May 2008, the well known and locally owned Truffle Pigs Cafe purchased the entire Kicking Horse Lodge. Since then, the Pigs have been busy moving their old business to the new location across the street and renovating and re-branding the Kicking Horse Lodge with Truffle Pig style and tradition. All the lodge’s rooms have been renovated as has the front lobby , dining room and lounge. On June 1, 2008 The new Truffle Pigs Bistro and Kicking Horse Lodge opened bringing its guests and the public those favorite Truffle Pig treats that used to reside across the street in the general store including Jen’s decadent hand made desserts and Sean’s savory fare that you have come to love and expect.
Truffle Pigs Bistro and Lounge in its new location remains open to the public. In order to serve all our clients old and new, Truffle Pigs Bistro encourages Lodge guests to make reservations for the evening Bistro: we do not accept reservations for lunch or breakfast. Dinner reservations are restricted to Lodge guests and parties over 8 persons during summer months. Our gourmet New Years Dinner and weekend winter bistro is now packaged with special room rates for those of you who want to “eat, drink and sleep at the pig”. Please contact our front desk for details or click on the Promotions tab in the Truffle Pigs Bistro page for details.
Starting November 2008, we will be offering guests access to Field’s high speed wireless internet network for those of you traveling with your own computer. Ask for details re high speed internet rates at the front desk when you arrive. During the summer (May-end of September) our front desk is open between 8 am and 8 p.m. daily and 9 am to 5 p.m. from October 1st to the end of April.
