Truffle Pigs Bistro and Lounge
Truffle Pigs Bistro and Lounge is Field’s only award winning and internationally acclaimed restaurant. It has been freshly renovated and offers dining throughout the day to the public and Lodge guests (breakfast is served only in summer months). Our menus are carefully crafted by our head chef Sean Cunningham and feature fresh local and regional ingredients. Our wine list highlights BC wines and we serve local ice cold beer on tap. Jen Coffman’s delicious hand made desserts and coffee have been called the best between Calgary and Vancouver.
A truffle pig is a creature willing to get into the muck to root out wonderful things to eat. Likewise, at the Truffle Pigs Bistro, we go to great lengths to create our own recipes using fresh quality ingredients. The result is that our food is creative, tasty, and beyond pretense. We believe in using organics wherever possible, non-medicated meats, and try to cater to those people who have food allergies and dietary constraints. We believe that children have a place in restaurants, that great food should be affordable and that food, energetic conversation and beverage are the true Three Sisters. We serve real food to real people – in real time.
Jen Coffman

Jennifer Coffman’s cakes, pies, cookies and squares are all inspired by the gods. She has an uncanny sense of food fusion, can make a mess in any kitchen and produces wonderful delectably delicious delights. Jennifer has created all of Truffle Pigs’ salad dressings, is involved in all food matters at the Bistro, serves on a regular basis, has unending energy for her son and laments the fact that she has little time to hike and climb.
Sean Cunningham

Sean Cunningham, head chef at the Truffle Pigs is living proof that passion and natural talent is alive and cooking. From his uncanny sense of how to make flavours dance on your palate to the ever challenging challenge of producing that same magical taste sensation over and over again in a consistent manner, Sean has what it takes to “make it happen”. His natural sense of presentation, colour and composition combined with his desire to please and surprise people, all come together on the plate he’s prepared for you. Whether it be dinner for two or 122, a kid’s grilled cheese or a succulent cut of buffalo tenderloin Sean prepares every meal with the same passion, care and energy each and every time.
After your meal you may be tempted to poke your head in to say a quick thanks and you should. No matter how busy, tired or run down, Sean always has time for a friendly smile, hello or much to the clean-up crews dismay, a two-hour conversation. A quick hello with Sean can take you to Berlin, pull you under your broken front porch, drag you through the politics of Parks Canada or sailing across Georgian Bay.
Together , Sean and Jen are the owners, operators and chief bottle washers at Truffle Pigs and the Kicking Horse Lodge. Their generosity and genuine warm welcome are shared by the staff who are ready to help and show you all about our scene and the “Truffle Shuffle” . We invite you to come to Field and Truffle Pigs Bistro and the Kicking Horse Lodge and experience Rocky Mountain hospitality and community.
